The arrival of autumn is a crisp reminder that 2009 will soon be over. With this in mind, Earl and I chose to use last Saturday to continue our year-long quest to visit all state parks and national historic sites here in the Natural State.

The trips we’ve made this year to visit state parks have left me with a much deeper appreciation for this great state in which we live.

Earl and I spent the Sunday evening of Labor Day weekend visiting Pinnacle Mountain State Park in Little Rock. We didn't have time to explore all the park has to offer, but we did complete an amazing hike.
