GENTRY — Ozark Adventist School was visited by Gentry Police Officer Rachelle Raimer on Aug. 26 to speak to the students about staying safe in their community and using the Internet wisely and safely.

After speaking to all the students in pre-kindergarten through the eighth grade, Raimer showed seventh and eighth grade students her police car.

She showed students how she would apprehend a criminal and shared with them what it would be like to be a prisoner in the Benton County Jail. Ramer reminded students that even though no one wants a speeding ticket, everyone wants to feel safe and protected.

“We are grateful to Officer Raimer and the Gentry Police for the work they do,” said teacher Lisa Tonack.
