— The Lady Pioneers dropped three games to West Fork on the volleyball court Aug. 27. The scores were 17-25, 9-25 and 13-25.

The girls won one game against Farmington on Aug. 25 but lost the match three games to one. Scores were 25-23, 9-25, 12-25, 13-25. The girls were down 22-14 in the first set but cameback to win it with strong serves from Terra Jones and Rindy Hudson.

“Farmington is expected to be one of the teams to compete for the conference championship, so to get the lead early in the match was a big confidence boost for our team this early in the season,” said Gentry volleyball coach Daren Ward.

The junior varsity teams lost to Farmington 22-25 and 15-25.
