— The Highfill Education Club met Oct. 19 at 1221 E. Main in Gentry.

Eleven members and one guest were present.

The meeting was under the direction of Peggy Dillahunty. Some members attended a workshop on Oct. 21 where some sewing projects were presented.

Members will also be attending a holiday workshop Nov. 19.

These workshops are open to anyone. To register to attend, call theCounty Extension Office at 479-271-1060.

Helene Zambrano brought a very interesting demonstration on container gardening.

Each person received a pot in which to plant a daffodil.

Potting soil, bulbs and fertilizers were also furnished, along with informative material to take home.

The next meeting will be held at 10 a.m., Nov. 16, at the home of Wildeana Smith.

Visitors are always welcome.
