LITTLE ROCK — Adults and young people from across Arkansas gathered Oct. 10 in the Arts and Crafts Building at the Arkansas State Fair to compete in the Floral Express Flower Arranging Contest.

Contestants were divided into three groups - Youth, for ages 6 to 12; junior, ages 13 to 16; and adults, 19 and over. First-place winners in each division received a $100 gift certificate to Floral Express of Little Rock; second-place winners, a $75 gift certificate; and third-place winners, a $50 gift certificate.

Winners in the Youth Division are: Emma Williams, 11, of Searcy, first place; Naomi Rheingans, 12, of Rogers, second place; and Ethan Parker, 11, of Gravette.

Winners in the Junior Division are: Rachael Rheingans, 18, of Rogers; Samantha Lambert, 13, of Gentry, second place; and David Brister, 13, of Searcy, third place.

Winners in the Adult Division are: Margaret Bevans of Bauxite, first place; Phil Hamilton of Greenbrier, second place; and Tina Sellers of Vilonia, third place.

The Arkansas State Fair continued in Little Rock through Sunday, Oct. 18.
