GENTRY The Lady Pioneers volleyball team lost to Berryville 22-25, 16-25 and 16-25 on Sept. 15, but but came back to beat Pea Ridge 25-9, 25-14 and 25-19 on Thursday.
"The team is finally starting to come together and play well at the right time," said Gentry's volleyball coach, Daren Ward.
"I think they're realizing that what ittakes to win is heart and a team effort," he said.
"We've been getting strong play from our captains Terra Jones and Metaya Snell, and Yochabel Perales and Whitney Robinson have stepped up big-time to fill key team roles," Ward added. "It should be an exciting second half of the season."
The Lady Pioneers played Tuesday against Huntsville, but results were not available at press time.
